This was in a random box of metal stuff I bought from an auction for 10 bucks. Turns out this pump alone is a valuable collectors item that sells for over $250. When I started to clean it, I discovered this to be entirely made of brass and bronze. What a find! She cleaned up nicely and has a nice vintage brass shine to it. I found the oak base at a thrift store which appears to be used in a restaurant as a clever way to serve burgers! The cord and plug are new cloth covered houndstooth black and cream colored. I wired it up to a new brushed brass socket with an Edison bulb. She creates a nice warmth in the room with a touch of industrial elegance. Is that a thing?? I just made it up, so we could be on the verge of a newly minted design term!
