This came out of historic Chicago theater that was built in 1925 (still a working theater today). This theater was known to show silent films, vaudeville plays, circuses and now shows any new release film. The Model B 30 mm film rewinder came out in the late 1920's and made for decades in many different styles. This was one of the first. Used to rewind the movie film back to it's original reel.
It is non-working, as it appears to have missing parts. The pulley is attached with a newer bolt, and there is no power cord. Motor spins but I have not connected it to electricity. The shifting mechanism moves and door opens freely. It is painted with a hammer-paint type of paint. About 3 feet wide. Very heavy, all metal, and would be used as a great piece of decor for your movie room or antique equipment collection! Make an offer!
