Made in Cleveland, Ohio, U.S.A., Columbian vises were known as the bullet proof construction and industrial grade vises. Columbian made the Craftsman vises prior to 1967, which were also known to be excellent vises. Wilton bought out Columbian, yet continued the name until 1993, which is when the vises were being produced overseas.

I restored this in my kitchen (due to lack of tools in my winter home), and painted it in Army colors. It's mounted to an Acacia wood cutting board. This is a Christmas gift for a friend and his initials are subtly written in gold paint on the dynamic jaw.
