The Master of the Art Nouveau- Alphonse Mucha

These amazing mirrors are reproductions from a Czechoslovakian artist named Alphonse Mucha, who lived from 1860-1939. He was one of the most important masters of art nouveau, if not the main person who ushered in the movement. He was a visionary artist known for his posters and illustrations which served to elevate women into icons of what it means to be fierce and feminine. They were beautiful, sensuous, and natural, yet had an image of strength. These type of images were later used in advertising, to help sell anything from cigarettes to beer to chocolate and bicycles.
This is a collection of "The Precious Stones" series, which has the woman in the upper panel, and a flower in the lower panel- both of which share colors of the gemstone represented. Name details are:
-"Topaz", orange, yellow tones with the silver dollar plant
-"Ruby", red, cream tones with poinsettia flowers
-"Amethyst", purple, brown tones with iris flowers
-"Emerald", green tones, lilly flowers and grass
